1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how NeuroBlocks Studio handles personal information when you use the NeuroBlocks Studio Windows desktop application, account services, licensing features, customer support, and related services.

NeuroBlocks Studio is a visual neural network design, training, and evaluation application for image classification and tabular classification.

This Privacy Policy does not replace the privacy policies of third-party services such as Microsoft Store, Supabase, Microsoft, or YouTube.

2. Information We Collect and Process

Account and Authentication Information

When you create or use a NeuroBlocks Studio account, we may process information including:

your email address;
your Supabase user identifier;
account confirmation status;
authentication and session information;
password-reset and account-verification information; and
timestamps associated with authentication activity.

NeuroBlocks Studio uses Supabase Auth for account authentication. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not made available to us in plaintext.

Where supported, authentication session information may be stored securely using Windows-provided credential storage to allow the application to maintain your signed-in session.

Membership and License Information

NeuroBlocks Studio offers Free, Pro, and Ultimate access levels.

To determine which features are available to your account, we may process information such as:

account membership level;
Microsoft Store entitlement status;
whether Pro or Ultimate is owned;
whether a Pro-to-Ultimate upgrade is owned;
license verification status;
purchase source;
entitlement verification timestamps;
Microsoft Store product or entitlement identifiers; and
information necessary to restore or refresh purchased access.

NeuroBlocks Studio uses Microsoft Store purchase and entitlement information to determine whether an account should receive Pro or Ultimate functionality.

Payment Information

Purchases of NeuroBlocks Studio Pro, Ultimate, or related upgrades are processed through Microsoft Store.

Microsoft, rather than NeuroBlocks Studio, processes the payment transaction.

We do not receive or store your complete credit card number, full payment-card credentials, or Microsoft account payment password.

We may receive or process limited purchase and entitlement information necessary to determine whether a valid Microsoft Store license exists.

Image and Tabular Dataset Information

NeuroBlocks Studio allows users to import datasets for neural network training and evaluation, including:

image datasets;
CSV files;
XLSX files;
training datasets;
validation datasets; and
test datasets.

These datasets may contain information chosen and supplied by the user.

NeuroBlocks Studio is designed to perform neural network training and analysis locally on the user's computer.

Imported image and tabular datasets are not automatically uploaded to our servers as part of the normal training workflow.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate rights and permissions to use any datasets they import into NeuroBlocks Studio.

You should avoid importing sensitive personal information unless you have an appropriate legal basis and adequate authorization to process that information.

Training and Analysis Results

NeuroBlocks Studio may generate information such as:

model configuration;
training loss;
validation loss;
test loss;
accuracy;
Precision;
Recall;
F1 metrics;
confusion matrices;
ROC analysis;
layer activity information; and
exported plots or structured result files.

These training and analysis results are generated as part of the local application workflow.

Ultimate users may export supported plots and structured result data to files selected by the user. The application's membership system distinguishes Free, Pro and Ultimate, with built-in export reserved for Ultimate.

3. Technical and Security Information

Third-party infrastructure used to provide authentication, licensing, email delivery, security, and commerce may process limited technical information such as:

IP address;
timestamps;
browser or device information;
authentication events;
network request information;
security events; and
service logs.

Such information may be processed where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and protect the service.

4. Support Communications

If you contact us for customer support, we may receive information that you voluntarily provide, including:

your email address;
description of the issue;
screenshots;
error messages;
diagnostic information; and
files or other information you choose to attach.

Please do not send confidential datasets, passwords, payment-card information, or other sensitive information unless specifically necessary and appropriate.

We do not use imported neural network datasets for advertising purposes.

6. Microsoft Store Purchases

NeuroBlocks Studio uses Microsoft Store for supported digital purchases.

Current membership products may include:

NeuroBlocks Studio Pro;
NeuroBlocks Studio Ultimate; and
Pro-to-Ultimate upgrade access.

Microsoft processes purchases under Microsoft's own terms and privacy policies.

NeuroBlocks Studio may communicate with Microsoft Store and our licensing infrastructure to verify whether the signed-in user owns an applicable entitlement. The current application architecture uses Microsoft Store entitlement verification and stores the resulting membership state for determining Free, Pro, or Ultimate access.

Deleting a NeuroBlocks Studio account does not automatically cancel, transfer, or refund a Microsoft Store purchase. Refunds and payment-related matters are governed by Microsoft Store policies.

7. Supabase

We use Supabase to provide account authentication and related backend services.

Supabase may process account identifiers, authentication information, entitlement records, timestamps, and related technical information on our behalf.

NeuroBlocks Studio's desktop application uses a public Supabase client configuration, while privileged service credentials are kept on the server side rather than distributed with the desktop application.

Supabase's processing of information is also subject to its own applicable privacy terms.

8. External Links

NeuroBlocks Studio may contain links to external websites or services, such as product documentation or tutorial videos.

For example, selecting an external tutorial link may open YouTube in your web browser.

Once you access a third-party service, that service's own privacy policy and terms apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites and services.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share or allow processing of limited information only where reasonably necessary with service providers that support NeuroBlocks Studio, including services used for:

authentication;
cloud backend infrastructure;
Microsoft Store licensing and commerce;
email delivery;
security; and
technical support.

We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, regulation, or a valid request from a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, or our systems.

10. Data Retention

We retain account and entitlement information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

maintain your NeuroBlocks Studio account;
provide purchased functionality;
restore valid licenses;
provide customer support;
prevent fraud or abuse;
resolve disputes; and
comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory requirements.

Support correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period necessary to resolve the issue and maintain appropriate support records.

Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable legal and security requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

authenticated access;
encrypted network communication;

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international data transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by us or our service providers.

NeuroBlocks Studio is a professional and educational neural network development tool and is not specifically directed to young children.
